Spur Reunion ROCKED!

Posted May 10, 2012

Spur

So on April 28th C.Alice took the stage for an epic gig.  The reunion crowd from the old Silver Spur Saloon was in a partying mood, and the band was happy to oblige!  New tunes such as Fat Bottomed Girls (Queen), Everybody Wants You (Billy Squire) , and the band's own flavour of AC/DC medley went over GREAT, along with the plethora of other new tunes!  Sherry Crawford of No Limitz joined the boys to take on the Styx classic "Too Much Time on My Hands", which was brilliant!  (Sherry rocks!)  And later the band was joined by Ted Sisson playing some sweet, sweet blues harp over ZZ Top's "Tush".  It was an amazing time!  Many beverages were partaken of, but sadly, not a single pair of underwear hit the stage - the band might have to up the ante here... (lol)

If you didn't take in the party, we missed you!  Though come to think of it, there wouldn't have been room   ;)

Thanks to all who came out to support your local music scene, your local venue, your friends from the Spur - and most of all - C.Alice!!!

Rock on Peace River - see you at PeaceFest, if not before!

New Tunes!

Posted March 22, 2012

You've seen C.Alice in the past, so what's the point, you think to yourself?  Sure, they ROCK HARD, but you've been there, done that.

Well, I'm here to tell you that in the unyielding pursuit of the ultimate rock experience, C.Alice has left no stone unturned looking for those perfect classics and those unbelievably amazing new tunes.  Not only that, they've been in the woodshed all winter, improving chops and perfecting harmonies.  They've also been working on synchronized dance moves, building human pyramids and out purchasing matching frilly shirts.*

If you have not yet had the pleasure of taking in a C.Alice show, rest assured - if you like rock music, you WILL have a great time.  In addition to the new stuff, we've shaken out the dust, scraped off the mold and polished up the great tunes we have always done.  Come see us at the Spur Reunion in April, or at the amazing PeaceFest in July - check out the Gigs Page for details - or book us for your own event!  And remember - if you throw underwear on stage, the band will buy you a drink.**

We love to have fun - come out and join us, enjoy some new tunes and ROCK HARD!  :)

*C.Alice does not actually have any particular dance moves, or build pyramids or wear matching frilly shirts - though you may imagine them this way if you wish.

**Actual drink may be water or whatever the bar happens to be offering for free.

Silver Spur Saloon Reunion!

Posted January 16, 2012

Once a fixture in the town of Peace River, and a great venue for live music, the Silver Spur Saloon has been no more for some years.  Those of us "seasoned" enough to remember, remember it fondly.  Come join C.Alice for a one night tribute and toast to "the Spur" and socializing with former owners, employees and patrons!

Saturday April 28th at the Belle Petroleum Center in Peace River.  Beef on a bun supper, followed by fun activities.  C.Alice hits the stage afterwards!  Rock Hard!

Thank-you BJ's!

BJ's
C.Alice would like to thank BJ'S Q Club and Grande Prairie for a night of PURE AWESOMENESS!!!  (Apologies to Jack Black, lol).

Friday night was an amazing time - the room sounded great, we were treated like rock stars and the crowd was phenomenal!  BJ's own star soundman Steve joined the band for The Boys Are Back in Town and rocked the house on vocals - too cool!  There was standing room only, and it didn't look like there was room for even one more person on the dance floor at times.

If you didn't make it out, we're sorry we missed you - see you next time Grande Prairie, you sure know how to party.  We loved it!

Come Join us at BJ's Q Club in GP!

Posted August 31, 2011

C.Alice is booked for one night only at BJ's Q Club in Grande Prairie - come hang out and rock the night away with the band!  This is a room where many of Canada's great rockers have played; Harlequin, Headpins, the Trews and (of course) Trooper, among others.  Ambience, great food and drinks, rockin' tunes - all in a room with some great history - why would you miss it?!    ;)

Friday October 7th - see you there!

C.Alice Rocks "Bermuda Bash"

Posted March 30, 2011

C.Alice's self-hosted Bermuda Bash on March 19th was a smashing success!  Thanks to all who came out to have a great time at our "summer party in the middle of winter".  We had an incredible time and can't wait to do it again!

A random draw for a donation to the winner's charity of choice was picked up by Dana Blayone - congratulations Dana!!!  Dana chose to donate the money to the Rotary Club of Peace River - a most worthy cause!

Cheers, and see you there next year!
